Celena Fornell is from Seattle, Washington. She trained at the Pacific Northwest Ballet on full scholarship and Boston Ballet. While at PNB, she performed in numerous company productions including Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Serenade, Crystal Pite’s The Seasons’ Canon, Kent Stowell’s Swan Lake and Carmina Burana, Petipa’s Giselle, as well as the title role of Snow White in Bruce Wells’ Snow White. She was also a participant of the Student Exchange between PNB and The National Ballet of Canada in 2022. Celena joined Ballet Austin as an Apprentice in 2023, performing in Steven Mills’ The Nutcracker, originating a role in Mills’ Poe/A Tale of Madness, and Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty. She is looking forward to dancing with DTS this season.
